An awareness campaign against child abuse.

Every day in every country girls and boys suffer abuse. Against Child Abuse cuts across boundaries of culture and ethnic origin. Talking to parents about abuse is not easy. It is a very sensitive issue and must be handled carefully. I have to keep personal thoughts and feelings out of this. There may be times when I cannot believe that a child’s parents, relatives or family friends can possible abuse a child. I have to remember that abuse and can happen in any family and with any child.

Why this project (child abuse) is important to me

“Much of this abuse is hidden behind closed doors because of the shame...”

This project is a like challenge for me.

Because of what? A lot of graphic designers have addressed Child Abuse but  there are no TV ads about child abuse in the Arab world.

Depending on how I address this project, if I can make a small difference between thousands of designers in generally, if one-person pays attention to my work I will be successful in this project.

Description: Video and posters

Video about 30 to 40 seconds (shock for the viewer) mostly for TV broadcast. I will try to make it as simple and clear as I can so after watching the short video the viewers feel that there is value behind it. And my idea is defining about child abuse in general. I’m not specific half of the world its for the whole world.

And the poster will depend on the video.

Methodology

The first step I will do, is research on child abuse. Some steps below:

·        Research on the subject.

To know what others have done on this subject and to see some videos on youtube.

·        A public debate -------à people to talk about it.

To know the opinion of others and how they think about this subject.

·        (The most important) to talk to experts like (SAFA AL AJMANI children social worker). She will provide me with a lot of information and details on this subject.

SAFA AL AJMANI one of the most ladies care about child abuse she works in the social services at public policy in the United Arab Emirates society in child abuse issues for long time.   

·        To be clear about outcomes.

Why? The family has the greatest potential to protect children and provide for their physical and emotional safety. But now days it is obvious that childe abuse comes from within the family, from the parents or relatives.

2-      Society:

It is a general issue because all of the religions reject what happens to children.

Why this project is important? Because it is generally common in the whole world and all of the population needs to know about this responsibility. Because all the girls one day will be mothers and all the boys one day will be fathers, and they should know how to product their children. And it will be like a chain around this world.

Ethical and social Consideration

1.       In our religion we can’t publish the names of the victims and those involved.

2.       In our country I cannot say their name because its not allowed and it could become a “scandal”.

3.       The contract between me and the children social worker (Safa Al Ajmani). It is a very sensitive issue and must be handled carefully.
